CHIEF DR. EMMANUEL CHUKWUEMEKA OKONKWO 

Chief Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Okonkwo KSC, OFR (popularly called “Bishop”) was born at Ichi in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Ekulo Group of Companies, a conglomerate which was established in the early 1980’s. The Group handles brand management and distribution of beverages, food, and cosmetics representing world-class names in Nigeria, capital market and real estate. Evans Industries Limited, one of the companies within the Ekulo Group, manufactures cosmetics the very popular Eva Complexion Soap and Meditol Medicated Soap range.

A philanthropist of repute, he has touched the lives of many through his acts of charity.  His scholarship programmes have been of immense benefit to several underprivileged Nigerians desirous of getting a good education.

He is married to Lady Franca Ngozi Okonkwo and blessed with five children. Chief Okonkwo is a member of the Order of Knight of Saint Christopher. In 2011, he was conferred with the award of Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and GCFR. In 2013, he was honored by the Sun Newspapers as the Business Man of the Year, 2012.
